Membership & Contributions
The Fair Oaks Historical Society was organized as a California nonprofit
public benefit corporation on March 3, 1978 and is recognized as tax-exempt
under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code and Section 23701d of
the California Revenue and Taxation Code.
We make it easy for you to join, renew or contribute to the Historical Society. Current rates are
on our membership form and you can take care of business:
- At the quarterly General Meeting
- At the History Center next to Sunflower Drive-in
- On our PayPal system (Paypal or Credit/Debit Card)
- Via snail mail with our membership application Join or renew membership
Note - if you use the PayPal/Credit Card system, please e-mail us at webhost at fairoakshistory.org with
the charge purpose. It sometimes does not appear on our PayPal notification.

Membership Benefits
- A featured speaker highlights the quarterly potluck dinner held
on the 4th Tuesday of January, April, July and October at the
Community Clubhouse, 7997 California Avenue, Fair Oaks.
- Members also:
- contribute to the operation of the History Center
- volunteer for elective offices and committees
- help out various functions at Soup Night
- assist with the Memorial Day celebration at the Fair Oaks Cemetery
- volunteer at the History Center during the Fiesta and the Chicken Festival
- help with special projects
- A quarterly newsletter provides information about what is going
on in the Society, articles on Fair Oaks history and old homes in
the area, upcoming meetings and speakers, and business reports
