From the northwest corner of the Smith-Dixon plot, go one path
over to the west and five stones north to find the second Hinsey
plot.
Ralph Hinsey was born in Fair Oaks, the son of W.W.
Hinsey who we visited earlier, the general manager of the Fair
Oaks Fruit Company. Ralph followed in his father’s footsteps
and was involved in many Fair Oaks businesses and community
activities.
He built, owned, and operated the Red and White Market
formerly located at the southwest corner of Fair Oaks
Boulevard and California Avenue. He was instrumental in
the development of the Fair Oaks Fire Department, and was
on the San Juan School Board for over 20 years. He is
buried with his wife, Georgia Hinsey.
