Return to the Ralph Hinsey stone and walk several stones more to the north and you'll find the plot of Eugene Buffum.

Eugene Buffum, M.D., came to Fair Oaks around 1903 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His father and mother, Joseph C. and Anna Buffum, had preceded him by about five years. They built a fine home on what is now the Park Place at Fair Oaks Apartments on Fair Oaks Boulevard between Pennsylvania Avenue and New York Avenue (2017). Eugene specialized in problems of the ears, nose, throat, and eyes. Among his many hobbies was music, the development of the radio, and photography. He was a member of a local band, wrote articles about the early radio for the Fair Oaks Progress Newspaper, and we have him to thank for many of the earliest photographs of Fair Oaks. His wife, Clara Buffum, is buried directly north of him.

His parents, Joseph and Anna are buried back in the family plot in Pennsylvania.
