Fair Oaks Historical Society Virtual Walking Tour Stop 2 - First Fair Oaks Bank Looking south from Plaza Park you'll see the first Fair Oaks bank, actually a temporary bank currently housing a real estate company. It isn't the original building. The first bank burned along with the Slocum Gore Store in 1909 and a fairly close duplicate was erected. The replacement housed the post office from 1912 to 1942 and then a variety of businesses including the soda fountain. Next
